CIP & hygienic processing
Clean-in-place systems and hygienic layout, specified as the basis for future GMP-oriented operation.
Technology
Phase 1 is a potato starch refinery designed around established European process technology. The process is described below in the order the material moves through it.
Process flow
Potato reception, washing, destoning and controlled feed into the line.
Cell disruption and separation of starch from fibre and potato fruit juice.
Multi-stage counter-current washing to progressively purify the starch slurry.
Mechanical dewatering ahead of drying to reduce thermal load.
Controlled drying that protects native starch structure and quality.
Final screening, quality release and packing.
Plant systems
Clean-in-place systems and hygienic layout, specified as the basis for future GMP-oriented operation.
Sampling, testing and batch traceability from raw material intake to finished pack.
Process water treatment and recirculation to reduce fresh water demand.
Pulp, protein and organic residue streams routed to recovery rather than discharge.
Design basis
Read the labels. These are Phase 1 design and planning figures, not measured plant performance. No equipment supply agreement, certification or regulatory approval is represented by this page.
