The problem
Bangladesh produces substantial agricultural surplus, and loses a meaningful part of it after harvest for want of industrial offtake. At the same time the country imports refined starch, excipients and related ingredients that its own pharmaceutical and food manufacturers depend on. Value that could be created domestically is lost twice.
The response
PolyBio is building the industrial link between the two: a processing and biotechnology platform that converts agricultural resources into the refined ingredients those industries buy. The first plant is designed for pharmaceutical-grade native potato starch; the platform is designed to extend well beyond it.
The approach
Proven European process technology rather than experimental equipment. Hygienic, GMP-oriented design from the first drawing rather than retrofitted later. Every by-product stream evaluated for recovery before it is treated as waste. Nothing claimed until it is verified.
